Eyes on the prize

If you don't know already....I have a little bit of a sweet tooth, and will do whatever is necessary to satisfy my desires. As exampled here, I am very focused on reaching my goal (I didn't even see daddy go past me to get the camera). If I want something I will make sure I do everything I can to get what I desire......look out mom & dad!!!

Christmas

There was so much fun for my very first Christmas.....I had lots of family come to stay with me, lots of food, lots relaxing, lots of games, & oh yeah....lots of presents for me!!! Overall it turned out very well for me as I received many of the things I had my eyes on. Hopefully the few things left from my list my grandma in Huron will have got for me. I am so glad to have such a nice family who loves me so much. I can't believe how much God loves me to provide so many things for me....Thanks ya'll!!

My First Thanksgiving

I have soooo much to be thankful for... even on my first Thanksgiving there was so much fun with family and friends......oh yeah there was some excellent food too. I got my first tastes of turkey, strawberry salad, and real sweet potatoes ( I have been a fan of the baby food version for quite some time now). Above you will find me playing dominoes with Adam, spitting with Trent, posing with the Decker clan, and the progression of getting that first piece of turkey into my mouth. By the end of the day I was quite wore out so I had a good nights sleep at Grandma's house.

Adventures of Chelsea

I have been quite busy the past few weeks, a lot of time I have spent trying to fight off a nasty cold, it was a long battle but I finally got through it and even learned to share my germs with mom and dad. Even though I had some rough times I still was sure to have some fun too. Here are a few examples.... my favorite things to do are finding a nice full basket of laundry and making it empty, getting my passi out of dada's (or anyone willing to try) mouth, and having great grandpa make malts. I think that the next time you see me you will be very surprized at all of the fun things I know how to do...see you soon!!

Trick or Treat!!

My first Halloween, I decided that I would be a very cute kitty so we hunted around until I found the one that I wanted. I think you will all agree that I am the best lookin kitten around!! I even got some whiskers in. For some reason mom and dad wouldn't let me eat any of the candy that people gave me, & they wanted to give me a lot.... I guess I will have to convince them that I can handle it come Easter. TRICK OR TREAT....ps please send any spare candy to Chelsea's house. Thanks :)

Cousins Tyler & Trent stopped by last weekend and I was so distracted by Tyler's busy shirt that I didn't recognize him. He tried to get me to smile and eventually I did but it took alot of trying. Thanks to him I have this cool blog to show off all my pictures

Fun Faces

I've started to make more faces recently. I like to wrinkle my nose when I smile, it gets a kick out of Mom & Dad. Here are some pics from the good times I've had this past week.

Almost crawling

I've just about mastered the art of crawling. Mom & Dad put the toys I like just out of my reach so I have to crawl to get them, but sometimes I trick 'em and just scoot on my bottom enough to grab them. Pretty soon I will be into everything!

My First Haircut

Here I am getting my first haircut (actually it was just more of a trim for my bangs). My hair kept getting into my eyes so Mom & Dad decided it was time to do a little work. We didn't do anything to the back so that part it still long. A special thanks to cousin Amy for helping me out, I really appreciate it!

CHECK OUT MY TEETH!!

You may need to zoom in a bit, but here they are my two teeth. The first one came in August 20th, and the second popped through exactly one week later. I didn't let mom & dad take a picture of them for a while, but I finally decided that I could cooperate! I am such a grown up little girl; don't you think? That's my excitement for now, the next stage of crawling may be around the corner before too long.

Lifelight '08

We had a great time at lifelight...being outside most of the day, taking in some great concerts & being with family. Here is Michael during his show....and here is how I enjoyed the Sunday morning worship service. All in all it was a great weekend and I am counting down the days until next year's festival.

I love wearing pigtails (even though I don't like getting them put in). My hair acts crazy when they are pulled out, here's the proof!

I can talk!!

I Started to talk the other day!!! Not really talking so much, but I got down dadada pretty well, mom is trying to get me to say her name, but I will stick with dada for now. I wonder what I will decide to say next, I will have to let you know as soon as I make the choice for my next words.

6 months old

Here I am on my 6th month birthday. This dress is nice & cool to wear on hot days. Mom & Dad keep saying they can't believe I'm half way to a year old already. Where does the time go??

Not so sure.......

Lake Herman had an activity night on Saturday where Daddy made a log basket (which was converted into firewood kindling b/c it fell apart) and we also made homemade ice cream. I'm not so sure I like this stuff.

Bathing in the Sink

I got to go camping a couple weekends ago and LOVED taking my bath in the kitchen sink! It was so fun to splash around. I can't wait till Life Light when I can do it again.

Well for CUTE!!! I got my first pigtails today, thanks to my wonderful aunt Courtney... I think the hairstyle definitely suits me, I will have to sport this fancy new look more often. Thanks aunt C

Chelsea & Maggie

Last Thursday (July 3rd), Mom, Dad & I spent the night in Omaha because our plane left so early. I got to meet my cousin Maggie for the first time & we had a good time giggling with each other. She is so nice to me, she gives me the clothes she's outgrown & other necessity items that Mom & Dad find very useful. I look forward to playing and giggling with her again.

Tired

The end of the trip came too fast, and I got pretty tired (but could still keep a hold of snake). It was so much fun to visit my family in Alabama. I hope to be able to visit with everyone again really soon.

Watch out for Snakes....

I was sitting with Nana and Papa at the botanical gardens and we were trying to get a picture made in front of these beautiful roses, then all of the sudden this snake came out of the bushes, but I knew what to do...I picked him up and started to bight his head. :) Actually it was a snake we found in papa's car and it became my best friend. I loved to chew on him, and got really mad if anyone tried to take him away from me. I was glad to be able to see such beautiful flowers and have fun with mom, dad, nana, papa & SNAKE!!!

ROAR!!

Everyone thought I was just a sweet little girl, but watch out, I can be a lion too!! I got to do this pose while visiting the Birmingham zoo with nana & papa. I had a fantastic day looking at all the animals, and a few of the animals had fun checking me out too. I can't wait till I am able to talk a little better so that I can make some of the animal noises.... how do you suppose that I would talk to a camel??

Swimming!!!

Well, if you had seen, or heard my last water experience in the lake was not a good one...well the pool is WAY different. I could actually see my toes!! I had a great time swimming around with daddy and then lounging poolside with mommy. If only someone I knew close by would let me come to their pool every day.... oh well, just some great memmories from my trip to Alabama.

Wet Willy?!?!

Well....we were sitting there waiting to get our picture made on the swing then all the sudden I get this wet finger in my ear. I found it quite hilarious, and cousin Emma found the whole situation slightly annoying and childish. We all had fun together anyway!!

Cheese

We tried really hard to get a picture of all the Roberts in our fancy July 4th t-shirts, but to no avail. Apparantly it is pretty hard to get my cousins to look at a camera sitting on the garbage can..... for some reason I thought it was quite amusing.

To Alabama for the 4th

Here we go!!! I am sooooo excited to get on my first plane ride to go see Nana, Papa & my cousins, aunts & uncles. We are so lucky to be able to go on such a fun trip. Even though we had to get up for a 5 AM flight I am still tickled pink to be flyin with my mom & dad.

Great Grandpa & Chelsea

We are so thankful Great Grandpa & Grandma were able to come this weekend from Kentucky! Chelsea enjoyed the outdoors & had a blast being the center of attention! We are looking forward to camping again soon!

Getting ready for Chel's 1st camping trip

Here is Chelsea in her first bathing suit! We are going camping this weekend near Watertown and are looking forward to being outdoors. Chelsea loves bath time so we'll see how she does in the lake. Hopefully her stylish good looks won't draw over too many boys!
